I finally completed the Vickers 6 ton tank today with a thin black wash applied after I had pinwashed some blue oil paint to enhance the grey colour. A Bulgarian tank circa 1940. A simple build but I took my time with it and it is now added to the collection.

Not much blogging as I am currently in the doldrums and I haven't much to say. I'm still job hunting and to be frank, it's getting me down. However, job interview next week and I am preparing for that.

Hope the interview goes well (or 'went' well, depending when it was).

I was talking to someone yesterday who used to be a ward sister and is now agency nursing and earning much more per hour... with, as she said, none of the hassle or responsibility, loads of flexibility and variety. "I go to work, I do as I'm asked, no more, I take my time, and ignore what I can't solve." There was also a bit about following the example of all the EAL workers currently in the system... who, she feels have a big advantage - if there is anything they don't want to do, they don't do it, and claim they didn't understand that they were meant to...

I'm sure that my disillusionment currently is due to the number of people I know who tell me things like this.

Thanks BW. Interview cancelled for some unknown reason - I have applied for another job which may be on a 'as and when required' basis. i.e. Several assessments per month. That would mean some money coming in but the work will be more akin to part-time work which would suit me admirably. I have to agree, I am disillusioned with the current state of affairs.
